Note this example has the optional Power Unit Type 42 fitted which cost an extra £3. With the optional Power Unit Type 42 fitted the radio can still be powered from batteries, there is a switch on the power unit to switch between mains and batteries. The batteries are Ever Ready AD31 7.5 volt and Ever Ready B107 90 volts.

The radio is fully restored and tested, but has yet to have batteries fitted, works exceedingly well from the Power Unit Type 42.
